Geldrop-Mierlo is a municipality in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. The municipality was created from the two former municipalities of Geldrop and Mierlo.

Villages

Geldrop-Mierlo has about 38,000 inhabitants. It covers the surface of 31.39 km² (about 12 square miles). There used to be two villages, Geldrop and Mierlo. Which joined together, after threats of Helmond to take over Mierlo.

Famous people from Geldrop-Mierlo

• Former Dutch prime-minister Dries van Agt was born in Geldrop.
• Swimmer Pieter van den Hoogenband, winner of three Olympic gold medals, grew up in Geldrop.
