General Directorate of State Security Service

General Directorate of State Security Service (Edarat Almukhabarat Al'mma) is an Egyptian intelligence agency. It is headed now by general Omar Solaiman and was created by the Egyptian President Colonel Gamal Abdel Nasser after the revolution. It was directed by Salah Salem and Salah Nasr through the 50th and 60th ages and after the Six-Day War in 1967 Nasser made large changes to the heads of intelligence leaders so it could be more effective facing the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, the CIA and the KGB. The General Intelligence Directorate (GID) deals with the Israeli attempts against Egypt and the Arabic nation its most area of working and which it has its most spreading networks is the middle east and the mid area.
