Gherkin

"The Gherkin" is also a popular name for the 30 St Mary Axe building.

Gherkin is a small cucumber, a vegetable. It is commonly pickled.

Cornichon is French for gherkin. It also refers to a very small, crisp pickle made from tiny gherkin cucumbers.
