Goat Rock Beach

(Redirected from Goat Rock beach)

Goat Rock Beach and its companion, Blind Beach , are beaches in or near the town of Jenner, California. They are situated on either side of Goat Rock, where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean.

The sand is a coarse, black and grey rock. Driftwood and kelp commonly wash up on the beach. The beach is a common resting ground for harbor seals and sea lions. Due to a steep slope into the water that leads to an underwater ditch parallel to the waterline, rip tides are common.
