God's Final Message to His Creation

According to Douglas Adams's book, So Long, and Thanks For All the Fish (part of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy trilogy), God's Final Message To His Creation is written in fire in letters thirty-foot-high on the far side of the Quentulus Quazgar Mountains in the land of Sevorbeupstry on the planet of Preliumtarn, which orbits the star Zarss, which is located in the Gray Binding Fiefdoms of Saxaquine.

The long path to the message is lined with souvenir stands at spaced-out intervals and the message says, "We apologise for the inconvenience."

In the American version of the book, published a year later than the British version of 1984, the text was Americanized to read "We apologize for the inconvenience"

It is at at this point that Marvin the Paranoid Android stops functioning and effectively dies.
