HMS Euryalus (42)

HMS Euryalus was a Dido-class cruiser of the Royal Navy, one of the second group of the class with ten 5.25 inch guns as its main armament. During her the acceptance trials the anti-aircraft armament was augmented by five 20mm Oerlikon guns.

She was built by Chatham Dockyard, with the keel being laid down on the 21st of October 1937. She was launched on the 6th of June 1939, and commissioned June 1941. Euryalus was the last cruiser that Chatham built.
