Halle, Belgium

Halle (French: Hal) is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. The municipality comprises the city of Halle proper and the towns of Buizingen and Lembeek . On January 1, 2004 Halle had a total population of 34,316 (16,702 males and 17,614 females). The total area is 44.40 km² which gives a population density of 772.81 inhabitants per km².

The official language is Dutch (as everywhere in Flanders).
