Holotropic Breathwork

Holotropic Breathwork is a psychotheraputic approach developed by Stanislav Grof which allows the access to nonordinary states of consciousness. The method combines deep breathing, a safe supported environment, music and bodywork. The method was developed in order to substitute LSD in psychotherapy, and is similar to some shamanic rituals. The nonordinary state of mind allows various experiences, like emotional healing, connecting to deep memory from the womb and birth, and mystical experiences.
