Hornchurch tube station

Hornchurch Station is a London Underground station on the District Line, located in Hornchurch. The station is in Zone 6.

The station was opened by the London Tilbury & Southend Railway in 1885.

The station has four platforms. Two are used by the District Line and another two are disused. The current station buildings were opened in 1932 when the electrified District Line was extended to Upminster.

Hornchurch is between Elm Park and Upminster Bridge stations.

In 2002 there were over 1.28 million entries and exits of the station. (Source: Transport for London)
