P1363 is an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standardization project for public key cryptography. It includes specifications for:
- Traditional public key cryptography (P1363-2000 and P1363A-2004), including digital signature and key establishment, using several mathematical approaches:
- Lattice based public key cryptography (P1363.1) encryption and digital signature (NTRUEncrypt and NTRUSign ).
- Password based public key cryptography (P1363.2)
- Password-authenticated key agreement (e.g. EKE, SPEKE , SRP)
- Password-authenticated key retrieval (e.g. Ford and Kaliski ) schemes.
Other kinds of public key cryptography may be standardized in future projects.
