James Grauerholz

James Grauerholz is a writer and editor. He is most famous as the biographer and literary executor of the estate of William S. Burroughs. He became acquainted with Burroughs in the 1970s while visiting Allen Ginsberg in New York City. Grauerholz became Burroughs' assistant and was his close companion until the author's death in 1997.

Grauerholz' influence on Burroughs' later work is significant. He helped Burroughs type and finish a trilogy of novels and edited many of the author's works for posthumous publication.
