Javanroud

Javanrud (Persian: جوانرود) is a city in the Kermanshah province of Iran. Its name in Persian means the young river or the river of the young.

An older name of Javanrud was Alani. Inhabitants are descendents of the Jaf tribe and speak Sorani Kurdish.
