Jesús-Rafael Soto

Jesús-Rafael Soto (June 5, 1923 in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela - January 14, 2005 in Paris, France) was a Venezuelan artist. He is most famous for his op art works.

In the late 1950s, Soto began the kinetic sculpture movement. From 1970 until the early 1990s, Soto's works appeared in places such as the Museum of Modern Art and Guggenheim Museum in New York City, as well as the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris
