Aussie Joe Bugner born (March 13 1950) in Hungary, was a British heavyweight boxer. His family arrived in Britain in the late 1950s.

He later moved to Australia, where he acquired the name Aussie Joe Bugner and where he now lives on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

Joe twice went the distance with Muhammad Ali:

• first on February 14th, 1973 in Las Vegas
• then again on June 30th, 1975 in Kuala Lumpur

Both times he lost on points.

His record for 83 professional fights is 69 wins, 41 on knockouts

He last fought in June 1999 beating Levi Billups.
