Jorge Batlle Ibáñez (pronounced BAH-shay) (born 25 October 1927) was the President of Uruguay from 2000 to 2005. He is a member of the Colorado Party. He has searched for remains of dissidents who disappeared during military rule in the 1970s and 1980s.
