Karel Havlícek-Borovský (October 31 1821 - July 29 1856) was a writer, poet, critic, polititian, publisher. He was citizen of Nemecky Brod and his house at main square is today Havlicek Museum. Havlicek was liberal thinker and opposer of Habsburg Rule on throne of Bohemia.
He was arrested by the government and sent to exile to be imprisoned in small house in Bressacone , in today's Italy. Died prematurely.
