Kevin Drum is an American blogger, originally known for the influential left-leaning blog CalPundit. He now writes the daily blog Political Animal for Washington Monthly. Stylistically the blog is known for being reasonably level-headed and for offering some original statistical or graphical analysis (unusual for the genre).

Drum is also credited with pioneering "friday cat blogging". [1]
