Hasapiko

(Redirected from Khasapiko)

Hasapiko (Hassapiko, Hasápikos, Chasápikos, Khasápikos, Hasapico) is a Greek traditional dance. The name comes from the word "butcher" (χασάπης, hasapis, of Turkish origin), i.e., it is "butcher's dance", Makellarikos horos, μακελάρηκός χορός in "pure Greek".

It served as a base for Sirtaki.
