Kohl Center

The Kohl Center, opened in 1998 in Madison, Wisconsin, is the home for the University of Wisconsin Mens, and Womens Basketball teams, and the Men's and Women's Hockey Teams. Seating capacity is variable, as the center can be rearranged to accommodate a basketball court, a hockey rink, or a concert. The maximum capacity is 17,142. The arena is located on the southeast corner of the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus at 601 West Dayton St.

The arena had gained much fame with the men's basketball team's 38-game home win streak until the team lost during the 2004-2005 season to No. 1 ranked University of Illinois.

For the 2004-2005 school year athletic events the main scoreboard hanging over the center of the court/rink was replaced with a brand new video scoreboard. The surrounding scoreboards will also replaced with one long video scoreboard that circles the bottom of the second level.
