Kuroishi, Aomori

Kuroishi (黒石市; -shi lit. black stone) is a city located in Aomori in Tohoku region of Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 38,873 and the density of 179.17 persons per km². The total area is 216.96 km².

The city was founded on July 1, 1954.
