Kuru is a municipality of Finland.

It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Pirkanmaa region. The municipality has a population of 2,782 and covers an area of 820.48 km² of which 103.53 km² is water. The population density is 3.4 inhabitants per km².

The municipality is unilingually Finnish.

The Seitseminen national park is partly located in the municipality.
