La Boum (The Party) is a 1980 French language motion picture comedy directed by Claude Pinoteau and starring Claude Brasseur , Brigitte Fossey, and Sophie Marceau. The film tells the story of a teenage girl who falls in love with a boy from the same school. While their relationship starts with platonic love, they soon become lovers.
