Lai-Chau (Vietnamese: Lai Châu) is a province in northwest Vietnam.
- Area: 7 365 square kilometres (almost twice the size of Rhode Island, United States of America).
- Population: Approximately 230,000 people.
- Major Ethnic Groups: Thai, Mong, Viet (Kinh), Giay , Dao.
- Principle City: Phong Tho Town (Population c.55,000)
- Districts: Phong Tho, Tam Duong, Muong Te, Sin Ho
- Communes: Muong Lay district, Le Loi quarter of Lai Chau Town, Than Uyen.
- Major Economic Resources: Forestry/timber products.
- Annual Average Temperature: 23 degrees Celsius.
- Annual Average Rainfall: 2.5 m.
