Lanka

Lanka is the name given in Hindu mythology to the island fortress capital of the evil king Ravana in the epic Ramayana. It is popularly, though somewhat improbably, identified with present day Sri Lanka.

In Hindu astronomy, Lanka is the name of an imaginary island located where the prime meridian of Ujjain crosses the equator.
