Laotian American

A Laotian American is a resident of the United States who is of ethnic Laotian descent and also one group of Asian Americans.

Laotian immigration to the United States was at its height after the Vietnam War. Perhaps the most famous Laotian American family is not a real one, but an animated one, found on King of the Hill, a show about life in Arlen, Texas. The Souphanousinphone family moves in next door to the main character, Hank Hill.

Ethnic Chinese from Laos are also included in the group.
