Lee Bailong

Lee Bailong (李白竜 Pinyin: Lǐ Báilóng or Li3 Bai2 Long2), known as Lee Pai-Long in the English anime is a fictional character in the anime and manga Shaman King.

Bailong, a.k.a. "The White Dragon", was a kung fu movie star who died at age 30. Bailong's body disappeared after his funeral. It is later revealed that Bailong was murdered to be Tao Jun's guardian jiang-shi (Japanized as "kyonshii"), or guardian zombie. Once he becomes self-aware again and forgives Jun for what her family did him, he becomes very attached to her.

Lee Bailong's sensei, Sha-wen (Shao-lin in the English anime), founded a variation of the Chaolin Temple Style (Chaolin means "Super Forest Temple", and it is a parody of "Shaolin"). Sha-wen created the Rui-Chong Quan Kung Fu (Eijuken in the English anime). Sha-wen's Rui-Chong Quan Kung Fu was the basis of Bailong's style, the Dao Dan Do (Dao Dan is Chinese for missile), which combined Boxing, Muay Thai, and Karate. Before Bailong died, he intended to create a perfect version of it and he intended not to pass it on until he finally perfected it. Bailong died before he could complete his art form. He is a thinly-veiled reference to Bruce Lee, who died under suspicious circumstances.
