Management
- CEO: Bill Miller joined Legg Mason in 1981 and manages the Value Trust and Opportunity Trust mutual funds and co-manages the Special Investment Trust mutual fund with assistance from the Investment Team. The Opportunity Trust fund has outperformed the market by a wide margin since its inception in 1999 ([1]). But the Value Trust ([2]) fund, and the Special Investment Trust ([3]) fund are trailing the S&P 500 since their inception in 1982 and 1985.
