Leskov Island


Leskov Island (56º40´S 028º10´W) is less than 1.5 km (1 mi) long, lying 48 km (30 mi) west of Visokoi Island in the South Sandwich Islands. Discovered in 1819 by a Russian expedition under Bellingshausen, who named it for the third lieutenant on the expedition ship Vostok.
