Lucas Cranach the Younger (October 4, 1515 – January 25, 1586) was a German Renaissance painter.
He was a son of Lucas Cranach the Elder. First he was an apprentice
in his father's workshop and then his importance grew. Finally after
his father's death he took over the workshop.
The style of their painting was so similar that there have been some
difficulties in attribution of their works.
He is known for portraits and simple versions of allegorical and mythical scenes.
