Lysander (Midsummer Night Dream)

Lysander is one of the main characters in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Initially in love with Hermia, but unable to marry her because her father wishes her to marry Demitrius. Hermia and Lysander try to escape from Athens so they can marry, and fall asleep in the woods. Due to a mix up with a love potion, Lysander falls in love with Helena, who loves Demetrius. This leads to a major entanglement, but the eventual reuniting of Lysander and Hermia.
