M/S Olympia

M/S Olympia (later M/S Pride of Bilbao) is a car and passenger ferry built in 1986.

The ship was ordered by Rederi Ab Slite , a part of Viking Line. It was built by the Wärtsilä Shipyard in Turku. On 29 April, 1986, Olympia started trafficking the Stockholm - Helsinki route. In 1993 Rederi Ab Slite was in economical trouble and was forced to go bankruptcy.

Olympia was in 1993 sold to Irish Continental Group and chartered to P&O European Ferries who renamed her to Pride of Bilbao and put her on the routes Portsmouth - Bilbao and Portsmouth - Cherbourg.

M/S Mariella is Pride of Bilbao's sister ship.
