The Maltese alphabet is based on the Latin alphabet with the addition of some letters with diacritic marks. It is used to write the Maltese language.
It contains 30 letters:

Note that it does not contain the Latin letter Y.
The alphabet is sometimes considered to contain C (sorting after Ċ), but this letter is only used in words derived from other languages, especially Italian and English.
