Maria Anna Mozart

(Redirected from Maria Anna "Nannerl" Mozart)

Maria Anna Mozart (1751-1829), nicknamed "Nannerl", was the older sister of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Their father, Leopold Mozart, took them on tours to many cities, such as Vienna, Paris, and other cities, because he recognized their talents. She was, in her own right, a talented pianist, and often accompanied her brother on her father Leopold's tours. Mozart wrote a number of piano pieces, in particular duets and pieces for two pianos, to play with her.
