Marystown, Newfoundland and Labrador

A canadian town in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador with a population of only 7000. Situated 306 km from the province's capital, St. John's it is on the Burin penninsula . Marystown economy is largely based on shipbuilding. The town experienced a population increase of 295% in just over a decade [1]. The two major industries in Marystown are the shipyard and the fishplant.
