Master Mason

A Master Mason is the designation of a Freemason who has completed the Third Degree in Masonic Lodge (aka Blue Lodge or Craft Masonry).

The Three Degrees, in order, are:

  1. Entered Apprentice
  2. Fellowcraft
  3. Master Mason

Although higher numbered degrees exist in related organizations such as Scottish Rite, the Master Mason is considered the highest degree in Freemasonry.
