Moko

In Polynesian mythology, Moko is the lizard god. A mo'o (Hawaiian) is a guardian spirit (usually of wetlands or water bodies) that takes the form of a large lizard, but is sometimes seen in human form.

Moko (also Ta-Moko) is a Maori form of tattooing.
