Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, or NBC is the term used in the armed forces of many nations to describe the measures taken to guard and decontaminate against nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. It superseded the term "ABC weapons". NBC is the term used by NATO armed forces, however in popular civilian parlence the term Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) is now mostly used.
