Nebuchadnezzar (ship)

The Nebuchadnezzar is a hovercraft captained by Morpheus in the Matrix movies. Its name is a Biblical reference to Nebuchadnezzar, from the book of Daniel.

According to the original film, The Matrix, the Nebuchadnezzar was built in 2069. It is a hovercraft designed for the sewers and tunnels under the ground. It can broadcast up to seven people at a time and can upload programs directly to them. It is not an attack ship however, as its only defense against the sentinels is its armor and an EMP blast. Unfortunately, this also disables the ship, killing anyone still connected to the Matrix. Other ships of its type carry multiple heavy gatling-gun batteries.

The Nebuchadnezzar was destroyed by a sentinel's tow bomb in the Matrix Reloaded.
