Necho I (circa 672 – 664 BC) was governor of the Egyptian city of Sais. His rule lasted only two years as Necho I of the Twenty-sixth Dynasty. He is primarily attested in Assyrian documents. He was installed as ruler by Assurbanipal around 654 BC, but he may have ruled prior to this event.
