Norton Strange Townshend (1815 - 1895) was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-second Congress (March 4, 1851-March 3, 1853).

Born in Clay Coton, Northamptonshire, England, on December 25, 1815; he migrated to the United States with his parents in 1830.
