Oxazepam

Oxazepam is a benzodiazepine hypnotic sold under the name Serax.

It is an intermediate-acting hypnotic with a slow onset of action (3 hours or more), therefore it is more useful for people who have trouble staying asleep all night, rather than those who have trouble falling asleep initially. It is also used for anxiety disorders and alcohol withdrawal.
