Pirouzi FC is the post-revolutionary name for Tehran football club Persepolis FC . Pirouzi means "Victory" in Persian. Among all the Iranian teams Pirouzi has had the most impressive record of titles. Persepolis's rival is Esteghlal.

Persepolis has a red and white jersey, and the club's traditional main competitor, Esteghlal FC wear blue and white. The great Tehran derbies are considered as the greatest annual event in Iranian football.
