Pittem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Egem and Pittem proper. On January 1st, 2004 Pittem had a total population of 6,541 (3,294 males and 3,247 females). The total area is 34.42 km² which gives a population density of 190.03 inhabitants per km².
