Plano-convex

A plano-convex object is flat or planar on one side and rounded on the other, such that the center is thicker than the edges. Plano-convex is a common shape for lenses, as is double convex (rounded on both sides). The term is also applied to a type of mudbrick with a rounded, convex top.
