Rødgrød med fløde

Rødgrød med fløde (red porridge with cream) is a traditional Danish pudding.

Generally, the 'rødgrød' is made with berries (usually redcurrants, but they can be strawberries, raspberries, or others) which are stewed with sugar and flour. The resulting pudding served cold with with cream is – for a Dane – a pleasingly patriotic red and white reminder that simpler things in life are often the best.
