• Ramesses XI - last ruler of the Egyptian New Kingdom period

Ramesses or Pi-Ramesses is also the name of the reconstructed city of Avaris. The name essentially translates as "Born of the sun-god Re".

Ramesses is also the name of a Doom Metal band from England.
