Rashers

A rasher is a slice of bacon. The term is used mostly in the UK and Ireland. The type of bacon served in the US is referred to as streaky rashers due to the streaks of fat running through it. Another type of bacon, made from the meat on the back of the pig is referred to as back rashers.

Back rashers are an important component of an Irish breakfast.
