Reef safe

Reef safe is a somewhat arbitrary distinction used in the saltwater aquarium industry to indicate that a fish or invertebrate is safe to add to a reef tank. Many animals can be considered mostly harmless, but relatively few that are commonly available to the industry are completely safe to add to a tank that contains corals or other reef animals.
