Reese's Pieces

Reese's Pieces are a kind of peanut butter candy. They are circular and colored yellow, orange, and brown. Because of this coloring, Reese's Pieces are commonly used in autumn themes (for decoration, promotion, etc.) They can be purchased in plastic packets, or cup-shaped travel containers.

After the makers of M&M's declined, the producers of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial decided to use Reese's Pieces in the movie instead. A week after the movie premiered, sales of the candy tripled.

In 2004 Hershey's released Peanut Reese's Pieces, a version with a peanut inside each piece in addition to peanut butter and chocolate.
