Roy Romer (born 1928) was a U.S. political figure. He served as Governor of Colorado from 1987 to 1999. From 1997 to 2000, he served as Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. On July 1, 2001, he became Superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
